LTFRB's Delgra to Reply Within ARTA's Deadline on TNVS Issues
Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Martin Delgra III is expected to explain his side on the complaints hurled at him by TNVS groups.
Delgra has been ordered by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) to air his side within three days to shed light on the issue.
"We will reply within the period given and cite the changes we have put in place," Delgra said. "We have met the ARTA Board last week on the issues as well and briefed them on what the agency has been doing to address them."
In a Notice to Explain order, ARTA Director General Jeremiah Belgica is asking the LTFRB chair to explain on the alleged irregularities
Among the issues that Delgra was asked to reply are the failure to implement Memorandum Circular 2018-005 allowing hatchbacks to operate as TNVS, failure to act upon applications for issuance and renewal of provisional authority within processing time stamped by the regulator itself, and imposition of additional requirements "without due cause" such as proof of existence and sufficiency of garage and bank conformity.
Aside from that, the ARTA is also asking Delgra to shed light on the alleged inconsistency on the interpretations and implementations of the rules and regulations on TNVS applications.
