MDPPA Oct. 2025 YTD sales at 1.581-M mark

MANILA: Sales of the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Incorporated (MDPPA) reached 1,581,817 units for the first 10 months of 2025.

In a statement, the organization composed of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, TVS, and Yamaha said the aforementioned volume showed a 13.5-percent growth compared to the 1,393,426 examples rolled out to customers in the same timeline last year.

Such a performance pulled MDPPA closer to its revised target of 1.79 million two-wheelers retailed — which is 6.5-percent more against the 1.681-million-unit sales churn recorded for the full 12 months of 2024.

For October alone, MDPPA handed over 183,502 motorcycles to buyers — reflecting a 19-percent increase from the 154,168 units sold for the same month the previous year. Per MDPPA, the aforementioned figures highlighted sustained consumer demand across the country.

“With just two months to go, we are on pace to surpass our earlier targets, and we expect full-year sales to reach more than 1.79 million units. This growth reflects how deeply motorcycles have become a part of everyday life for Filipinos. Whether for personal use or livelihood, they continue to be the most accessible and reliable way to move forward,” MDPPA Engr. President Alexander Cumpas said.

It can be recalled that MDPPA's September 2025 year-to-date sales already saw 1,398,314 two-wheelers turned over to buyers.

“This steady growth highlights how motorcycles remain a practical and essential mode of transport for many Filipinos, particularly as they continue to seek affordable, fuel-efficient, and traffic-resilient mobility solutions,” the group mentioned.

Given the momentum, the MDPPA has a strong belief that the industry will close the year with more than 1.79 million units handed over to customers — buoyed by continued demand and strong performance across regions.
