Mercedes-AMG partners with Ravenol
Mercedes-AMG announced that Ravenol, a German manufacturer and supplier of automotive lubricants, is now the “official supplier” for its customer racing program.

Per Mercedes-AMG, Ravenol will contribute its expertise to the development of Mercedes-AMG’s engine and gearbox units.The new partnership, Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance division said, intensifies the cooperation that has already been in place at a team level in the organization. According to the brand, its customer teams have already been fielding race cars in Ravenol livery.
“In Ravenol, we have a proven partner at our side. I am delighted that we haven’t just entered a supply partnership but have agreed on a strategic technical cooperation with a future-oriented approach as well. Moreover, sustainability and resource conservation are matters that are important to us as well and that also must be acknowledged in motorsport. This is an ambition we share with Ravenol and together we keep promoting the development in this area,” said Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Head Christoph Sagemüller.
The comprehensive partnership agreement will see the Ravenol logo slapped on Mercedes-AMG Performance cars in the future. The logo, the marque pointed out, will be visible on the right front wing of the race cars as part of the exclusive “partner line” it uses to provide excellent visibility for its official partners.
In addition, customer racing teams campaigning with the abovementioned Mercedes-AMG cars can expect their race machines to be lubricated with Ravenol products prior to their delivery in the future.
The same customer racing teams can also get their high-performance Ravenol automotive lubricants through Mercedes-AMG Motorsport’s global sales channels.
“Ravenol has been successful in motorsport for almost 20 years and ranks among the most renowned suppliers worldwide. The partnership provides our customer racing teams with high-performance lubricants and we as a manufacturer benefit from Ravenol’s vast experience in this field. It is our common goal to further optimize the Mercedes-AMG customer racing program, together with maximum performance and while acknowledging aspects of sustainability,” commented Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Head Stefan Wendl.
For its part, Ravenol will contribute its expertise to the development of Mercedes-AMG’s engine and gearbox units. Moreover, the ongoing development of lubricants based on vegetable base oil is on the two company’s joint agenda as well.

This is the platform on which the two German companies have been proving the performance potential of their products for many years. However, the social and ecological responsibility, in particular, is also an important element in our efforts related to the ongoing development of our products,” stated Ravenol Chief Executive Officer Paul Becher.
