Mercedes-Benz, Moncler announce fashion collaboration

Mercedes-Benz announced that it is collaborating with Moncler “to explore new realms across fashion and culture with the goal to challenge expectations and interact with broader audiences beyond automotive.”

The aforementioned collaboration is said to open an imaginary universe that explores shared brand values: a strong passion for innovation, concise design language, and a first-mover approach to cross-cultural co-creation.

According to the German automotive brand, a unique design art piece created by Mercedes-Benz Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener will be unveiled at Moncler’s “The Art of Genius” live show during London Fashion Week on February 20, 2023.

Mercedes-Benz has released teaser photos although the Stuttgart-based carmaker did not clarify if it was indeed the “unique design art piece” it was pertaining to.

Nevertheless, the photo appears to be the silhouette of a Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle (SUV) with a roof and tires that look like it was taken from a puffer jacket.

Another photo shows a person swathed in what we can only imagine as the down jacket that inspired the unique elements of the vehicle.
