Meycauayan-Marilao East Service Road now open
After inaugurating the service road for Meycauayan and Valenzuela in December last year, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the Meycauayan-Marilao East Service Road.

Leading the inaugural drive-thru for the Meycauayan-Marilao East Service Road were Bulacan Congressman Henry Villarica, Meycauayan City Mayor Linabelle Ruth Villarica, Marilao Mayor Ricardo Silvestre, Meycauayan City Vice Mayor Josefina Violago, Marilao Vice Mayor Henry Lutao, DPWH Assistant Regional Director Denise Maria Ayag, Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) Chief of Regulation Division Joz Carlos Ordillano, and NLEX Corporation Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Donna Marcelo.
The newest service road occupies an NLEX right of way (ROW) portion covering Barangay Lias in Marilao, Bulacan.
The latest road project is eyed to alleviate the traffic condition that is expected to boost economic activities in the province and enhance travel convenience in the area.
The newly completed road will allow motorists to enjoy driving up to Lias in Marilao from Paso de Blas in Valenzuela.
“We are delighted to help the government in providing safer roads and better mobility to our host communities in Meycauayan and Marilao. This service road also augments our efforts to relieve mounting traffic at our interchanges,” NLEX Corporation Vice President Donna Marcelo was quoted as saying.
The local chief executives of Meycauyan and Marilao are thankful for the creation of the new service road as it expected to improve traffic flow during peak hours and provide an alternative convenient route for motorists.
In 2017, NLEX Corporation implemented a traffic improvement program in Meycauayan that included the construction of additional exits and the expansion of the southbound toll plaza.
