Mitsubishi PH Marks Brand's 100th Year with Mitsubishi 100 Years Anniversary Expo

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is marking its 100th year of vehicle manufacturing this 2017 following the production of the Mitsubishi Model A by Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Company, one of predecessor companies of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, in 1917. To mark the occasion locally, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) will be staging the Mitsubishi 100 Years Anniversary Expo from June 8 to 11, 2017 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

As expected of such a milestone celebration, Mitsubishi will be showcasing its iconic models and race cars along with MMPC's current vehicle lineup, including its Fuso trucks and buses. Straight from the Mitsubishi Auto Gallery in Okazaki, Japan, on display will be the 1937 Race (Circuit Car), the #189 1985 Paris-Dakar Rally winner Pajero, the 2005 WRC Lancer, and the Outlander PHEV which won the 2015 Baja Rally. Of course, those looking to buy a new car can test-drive the Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Strada, Pajero and Mirage. As an added treat, joining the test drive fleet for a limited time during the four-day event are Mitsubishi's all-electric iMiEV and the Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle (PHEV). In addition, those who missed the series of Montero Sport Head-to-Head Test Drive last year which pitted Mitsubishi's midsize SUV against the competition will have the chance to test the vehicles " to prove for themselves the class leading features of the Montero Sport." More than just the vehicles though, the Mitsubishi 100 Years Anniversary Expo will also have various activities for the whole family. Mitsubishi Mirage brand ambassadors Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards along with comedian Ramon Bautista will be dropping by on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. to greet all Mitsubishi owners and expo guests. Mitsubishi's loyal customers and car clubs will also be feted at the first Mitsubishi Owners Day while kids can have fun at the Nickelodeon kids' park area where they can meet the characters from Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol on Saturday and Sunday. Those looking for something educational can join an art workshop to be conducted by the "father of Philippine Art Workshop,"  Fernando Sena, on June 11 from 1 to 3 p,m. while a Safety and Driving Etiquette Seminar will conducted during the weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 11 a.m., respectively. Celebrity performers will also be at the show to entertain attendees during the afternoons with Noel Cabangon on Thursday, Gabby Alipe and John Dinopol of Urbandub and DJ Marx Monterola on Friday, DJ Arra Pascual and Autotelic on Saturday, and True Faith, Ebe Dancel of Sugarfree, and DJ Knoxville on Sunday. The Mitsubishi 100 Years Anniversary Expo is open to the public from 12 noon to 9 p.m. on June 8 and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on June 9 to 11. The best news of all is that the admission to the event is free!
