Aside from confirming about its forthcoming arrival in the local market, Hara also shared that MMPC will adopt the global name — marking the end of the Strada nameplate in the country.

In its recent global debut, Mitsubishi shared that the vehicle is powered by a 2.4-liter diesel engine mated to a six-speed gearbox (either manual or automatic).

Further, the vehicle (still displayed at the four-day event as the camouflaged XRT Concept) sports the marque’s new Beast Mode concept — wearing the bolder take of the Dynamic Shield design with a three-dimensional front grille, a pair of three-dimensional LED headlamps, and daytime running lamps with three L-shaped LED lights.

At the rear are T-shaped taillights and a large bed.

Inside, the all-new Mitsubishi Triton is fitted with a horizontally-themed dashboard, floating infotainment system, and an instrument cluster that seemingly has a combination of analog and digital displays.

To note, the Mitsubishi Strada currently marketed locally is powered by a 2.4-liter, in-line four, double overhead cam, 16-valve turbo diesel engine with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control system in manual (five- and six-speed manual gearbox options for the cab-and-chassis trim) as well six-speed automatic (for higher variants).
