PH journo joins WWCOTY jury

The Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) announced that Philippine motoring journalist Genevieve Tiu to its jury roster.

This is the first time that the country has been represented on the prestigious jury.

For those who do not know, WWCOTY is an award-giving institution that honors the best cars annually with a jury comprised exclusively of women motoring journalists.

With the addition of Tiu, the WWCOTY’s panel now consists of 64 female automotive journalists from 46 countries. The organization aims to recognize the best cars of each year, while also giving a voice to women in the automotive world.

“Gen (Tiu) has been immersed in the automotive world largely through business, having grown up in a company that is involved in the automotive aftermarket industry. Through this, her experience extends from business development and collaborations with car manufacturers, PR (public relations) and communications, media relations, and, of course, to her work as a motoring journalist,” WWCOTY wrote in a press release.
