Road improvement works worth P46-M in Zamboanga del Sur now complete
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that it has completed the improvement works for a local road within the Municipality of Ramon Magsaysay in Zamboanga del Sur.

The P46-million budget was under the 2021 General Appropriations Act.DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia said that the 2.3-kilometer Bag-ong Oroquita-Kabuhi-Magsaysay-Katipunan NRJ Esperanza Road is now being utilized by locals, especially farmers, in transporting products and accessing social services.
With a P46-million budget under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the aforementioned road project involved concreting of road as well as improvement of drainage and slope protection to promote motorist safety especially during the rainy season.
The public works regional director said that the project is part of the goal of improving the infrastructure in the Mindanao region. “We are targeting to deliver more road projects in Zamboanga del Sur next year to support the local government’s initiative of boosting economic growth and promoting local tourism,” Dia was quoted as saying.
