SGAP opens 2 new Geely dealerships under Gateway Group  

Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) opened two more Geely dealerships recently with the inauguration of its showroom in Parañaque and in Angeles in Pampanga.

The latest two dealerships — Geely Aseana and Geely Angeles — ups the number of dealerships under SGAP’s dealer-partner Gateway Group of Companies to four.

Under the leadership of Gateway Group President Markane Goho, the company established two earlier — one in Lipa, Batangas in December last year and another this January in Cebu.

“Gateway Group of Companies started making its mark in the automotive industry with dealerships (also with other brands) in Visayas and Mindanao. After 15 years, Gateway Group expanded its network to Luzon,” SGAP noted in its statement.

SGAP President and Chief Executive Officer Yosuke Nishi expressed appreciation for the continued confidence of the Gateway Group to them.

“We are indeed grateful for Gateway Group’s trust and confidence in the brand, committing to open more dealerships. We are looking forward to more successful years with the Gateway Group,” Nishi was quoted as saying.

For his part, Goho expressed his optimism for the Geely brand which led them to decide to apply for other available franchise areas.

With the soft launch of the two newest dealerships, the Chinese automaker curently has 13 operational showrooms in the country.
