  • How many Shell stations are powered by renewable energy from SEPH?

Currently, there are two Shell mobility sites that powered by renewable energy from SEPH, the Mamplasan station and the one in Balagtas, Bulacan.
  • According to Shell, stations with Shell Recharge charging points will be powered through a mix of solar, geothermal, and hydro energies.

Country Chair for Shell companies in the Philippines Lorelie Quiambao-Osial said that the switch to renewable energy reflects the firm’s commitment to reducing carbon footprint. “We continue to work with partners in the decarbonization journey as we transition to a lower carbon economy.”

The oil giant started its move on transforming retail fuel stations into one-stop mobility destinations that feature sustainable solutions in 2020. The initiatives are aimed at cutting down energy consumption by approximately 30 percent, as compared to a traditional site.
