Suzuki PH rolls out XL7 Hybrid Black Edition

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated has rolled out the latest iteration of the XL7 Hybrid multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), the Black Edition variant. 

The launch of the new model coincided with the formal introduction of the latest addition to the Japanese carmaker’s stable in the Philippines, the Fronx. 

Like other models given the Black Edition treatment, the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid was endowed with some sporty cosmetic features, which include the following: 

• Black-painted body garnishes 
• Black door handles 
• Black roof rails 
• Dark-tinted rear combination lamps

Nothing was changed to the mechanical components of the MPV, under its hood is still the following setup: 

Engine	K15B w/ VVT (1.5-liters gasoline engine)
Transmission	Four-speed automatic
Maximum output (in horsepower)	103
Maximum torque (in Newton-meters)	138
Brakes (front, back)	Ventilated discs, drum leading and trailing
Suspension (front, back)	MacPherson strut with coil spring, torsion beam with coil spring

The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid Black Edition is offered in two variants with the following prices: 

• XL7 GLX AT Hybrid Black Edition – P1.259 million
• XL7 GLX AT Hybrid Black Edition Two-Tone – P1.269 million 

“From January to August 2025, Suzuki Philippines sold a total of 14,519 units, reflecting a 10-percent growth compared to last year, outpacing the industry, which declined slightly. We are very confident that, with your continued support, the Fronx and the XL7 Hybrid Black Edition will follow this success story and win the hearts of even more Filipino families,” Suzuki Philippines Automobile Division Director and General Manager Norihide Takei was quoted saying.
