Small cars are entry-level cars--that's basically how the world works. MINI obviously doesn't agree with the idea, and so they created a compact car with all the trimmings and trappings you could expect from a premium luxury vehicle. The MINI One continues the tradition that its predecessor pioneered--staying as the leading original of the premium car segment. As one would expect from the British car maker, the MINI One offers driving fun, posh stylishness, and the trademark quirkiness that has made the brand the most recognizable small car in the world.
With its distinction as the first-ever premium small car, this latest version of the MINI One has a lot to live up to. The good news is that it looks like the car is up to the task--the design embraces the brand's storied past while looking forward to the future.
The MINI One three-door possesses the unmistakable MINI shape that comes at 3,821 mm long, 1,727 mm wide and 1,425 mm high with a 2,495mm wheelbase. This makes it longer, wider and taller than its predecessor. The larger cabin size offers better comfort for occupants, while also enhancing the car’s ride comfort and cornering nimbleness.
The MINI One 5-door on the other hand, has a wheelbase that's 72 mm longer than the three-door and a body that's 161 mm longer. With three rear seats that can be folded to make the luggage go from 278 to 944 liters as needed, the MINI One's 5-door variant has everything one can ask for in a luxury urban car.
Some of the nifty features to watch out for in the new line of MINI Ones include:
Standard accoutrements include electrically adjustable side mirrors, door sill cover strips, Color Line in Carbon Black, and an AUX-In and USB interface in the car's infotainment system. Seats in a fabric/leather combination and leather finish are offered as an alternative to the standard fabric version. A model-specific selection of upholstery colors, interior surfaces, Color Lines and other design features--including Chrome Line for the interior and the lighting package with LED interior lights and orange-colored ambient lighting--offers a wide range of possibilities for interior customization.
The MINI One three-door costs PHP2.13 million while the price tag for the five-door is PHP2.23 million. Visit your nearest MINI dealer for additional inquiries.
