The search for 2016 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup is on!
Shell is inviting talented young riders across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand to apply for their much-awaited two-wheel race competition dubbed the “Asia Talent Cup.”
Launched in 2014, the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup, which is organized by Dorna Sports, is a pan-Asia motorcycle talent search program from Shell that serves as a feeder series to the MotoGP World Championship. The competition aims to give the young talented grassroots racers (age 13 to 20 years old) an opportunity to be recognized and develop their skills in the competitive world of road racing.
The Cup is co-managed and led by renowned and successful talent scout Albert Puig, who has been responsible for developing such talents as Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa. The competition will see stars of the future participating in a multi-round series riding Honda NSF250R Moto3 bikes.
According to Shell, the most talented riders who make it through from the 2016 pre-selection event at the Sepang International Circuit from 20th-21st October 2015, before this year’s Malaysian MotoGP round, will automatically qualify in the third edition of the race next year.
The 2016 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup application period is open from July 1 to August 15. Candidates from Asia, Australia and New Zealand are eligible for participation and must be born between 1st January 1995 and 1st February 2003.
At present, there are 22-young riders competing in the 2015 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup including RP Team bet 13-year old Mckinley Paz. Log on at www.asiatalentcup.com/how+to+apply for more information.
