Toyota PH among Pag-IBIG’s top private employers, contributors in South Luzon

Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) was recently hailed by Pag-IBIG Fund as one of the top private employers for South Luzon.

The government-owned and controlled corporation gave the recognition to the country’s leading automotive distributor during the virtual Stakeholders’ Accomplishment Report (StAR) 2021.

The acknowledgement from the StAR Awards program (which was first launched in 2019 to recognize the contributions of Pag-IBIG Fund’s stakeholders) is the first for any automotive company locally.

TMP noted that the award is given to top private and public organizations that helped the government-owned and controlled corporation reach its net income target.

The recognition was given after TMP facilitated the Pag-IBIG membership of all its employees and remitted their monthly savings on time. “TMP’s remittance for the year 2021 exceeded the pre-pandemic level,” the company shared in a statement.

Further, TMP company helped in the registration and remittance of its team members for their savings under Regular Savings and Modified Pag-IBIG II (MP2) programs, while continuously promoting the importance of financial security to its manpower. “Through Pag-IBIG Fund’s programs, members are able to save up and use their funds for future housing plans.”

With over 1,800 regular employees whose employment was secured amid the pandemic, TMP also contributes to the recovery of the economy via job opportunities in its entire value chain, support in the development of the automotive industry, as well as the introduction of new solutions for better mobility of the Philippine society.
