Geely EX5

Upon entering the Geely EX5, you’ll be greeted by a plethora of soft-touch materials and high-tech features. Its cabin is spacious enough to effectively accommodate five passengers. Its seats are also plush and provide good ergonomics for everyone on board. Upfront, you have a nice faux leather instrument panel with a 15.4-inch HD FLYME Auto touchscreen infotainment display at the center. The Geely EX5 utilizes a McPherson suspension at the front, while a Multi-Link at the rear. Thanks to this suspension setup, this SUV is very nimble to maneuver despite its weight. It also has good absorption of bumps and other road imperfections. However, it tends to be a little floaty inside when hitting turns or corners at high speeds since its suspension is tuned more for comfort than performance. The Geely EX5 is powered by the brand’s 11-in-1 Electric Drive that utilizes a Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Machine, which generates a maximum power output of 160 kW and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. Its motor is powered by a 60.22 kWh battery pack that delivers an NEDC combined driving range of 490 kms and has a direct current (DC) fast charging time of 30% to 80 % in just 20 minutes. It also has an alternating current (AC) charging time of 10% to 100% in 6.1 hours. The EV features a front-wheel drive system and comes equipped with three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

This SUV is very quick off the line. You’ll definitely have no issues overtaking slower vehicles on the highway with this EV. Its power delivery is very smooth and responsive. And, thanks to its driving range, it is a practical daily cruiser in the city and a reliable weekend car for your out-of-town trips.
