Audi Q7 For Sale in the Philippines
Audi Q7 Review
Dauntless is the word Audi uses to describe the latest Q7 iteration. Equally chic and spacious, few SUVs can top the new Audi Q7 when it comes to efficiently marrying utility with style. Though largely unchanged since it was first introduced in 2007, the Q7 is good at what it does best, and as they say, why fix it if it isn’t broke? And the Q7 is definitely one vehicle that doesn’t break easily.
Audi Q7 2016 Review in the Philippines
Audi skipped on the 2016 Audi Q7, so the next iteration to expect for the vehicle model is the Audi Q7 2017. No word yet on when the new version is set to be released, although it is said to be dramatically lighter with added rear-wheel steering. A hybrid version is also in the works for the 2017 Audi Q7.
Top Reasons Why the Q7 is the SUV that Belongs in Your Garage
Audi Q7 History
Initially introduced as a concept vehicle, the Q7 was Audi’s first SUV when it was unveiled in 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Manufacture of the mass production Q7 began in autumn of 2005 at the Volkswagen Bratislava Plant in Bratislava, Slovakia, and the vehicle eventually went on sale in 2006. The Q7 shares the same platform and chassis with fellow Volkswagen makes the Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne.
The Q7 initially came with only one power train-a 4.2-liter V-8 with 350 horsepower engine mated to an all-wheel drive and six-speed automatic transmission. Despite this limitation, the Q7 still proved a major upgrade over the usual SUV styling and handling.
Still in its first generation, the Q7 was the first Audi vehicle to offer Side Assist, a type of blind-spot detection and warning system. Later versions came with the Audi Music Interface (AMI), an optional feature that allowed user manipulation of an iPod or similar MP3-style player via Multi Media Interface.
Over the years, the Q7 came in different versions including the Audi Q7 hybrid (2005), Audi Q7 3.0 TDI clean diesel (2009), Audi Q7 4.2 TDI (2007–2009), Audi Q7 V12 TDI (2008–2012) and Audi Q7 Coastline (2008).
Audi Q7 Specs and Performance
There are three powertrain versions of the Q7 available for 2015—one uses a 3.0L V6 engine that delivers 333 hp, a detuned version of the same engine that puts down 280 hp and a 3.0L turbodiesel V6. Of these Audi Q7 engine options, the turbodiesel is the only available variant in the Philippines, and that’s a good thing, because the diesel engine is the best of the bunch in terms of fuel economy. The Audi Q7 suspension employs a double wishbone independent steel spring at the front and a four-link independent steel spring at the rear. The braking system is equipped with dual circuit with diagonal split, ABS, EBD, ESP and brake disc wiping feature. Below are the specs of the the two Audi Q7 trims released in the Philippines:
