2022 PIMS set to happen in Sept.

Vehicle manufacturers in the country gave followers of the local automotive scene another event to be excited about toward the end of the year: the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

The aforementioned event, which is under the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), will be staged after the Manila International Auto Show held its first on-site event last April, two years after the pandemic happened in the country.

CAMPI Philippine International Motor Show shared in a Facebook post that the event will be called “Mobility + Humanity: Innovating for the Common Good.”

“It's on! The much-awaited 8th edition of the CAMPI Philippine International Motor Show is scheduled on September 15-18, 2022 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. Stand by for updates,” the post noted.

The supposed eighth edition should have taken place in 2020 but the rising number of COVID-19 cases forced the organizers to cancel the biennial event.

Prior to the much-awaited event, the last PIMS was held in 2018 wherein the likes of the Suzuki Jimny, Nismo iterations of the 370Z and Juke, Ssangyong Musso, and the Honda Brio RS — among others — were showcased to the local motoring community.
