Coventry Motors Corporation (CMC) has launched the fifth-generation Range Rover in the country.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the powertrain options for the fifth-generation Range Rover that are currently offered in the Philippine market?

The all-new Range Rover comes with three powertrain options: 3.0-liter plug-in hybrid, 3.0-liter diesel, and 4.4-liter gasoline engine.
  • How much is the all-new Range Rover?

The pricing of the all-new Range Rover ranges from P15.99 million to P21.39 million.
  • The introduction to the local market was done after Land Rover held the model's global launch in October last year.

While it has continuously evolved in aesthetics, the new Range Rover still sports the nameplate's original key elements: the falling roofline, strong waistline, and lower rising sill.

“The characteristically short front overhang, formal front end, upright windscreen, and distinctive boat tail rear, which tapers in plain view, are key elements in defining Range Rover’s proportions and conveying its peerless presence,” Land Rover Philippines said in a statement.

Further, the all-new offering is the first model to utilize the brand’s new flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA-Flex) that can accommodate internal combustion, plug-in hybrid, and 100-percent electric powertrains.

The latest addition to the country’s Land Rover lineup will be offered in two variants, HSE and Autobiography with two body designs: standard and the long wheelbase.

Further, the new Range Rover comes in three powertrain options: 3.0-liter plug-in hybrid, 3.0-liter diesel and 4.4-liter gasoline engine. A pure-electric Range Rover will join the roster in 2024.

According to Land Rover Philippines, the extended range plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrains emit carbon dioxide below 30g/km, and can cover 100 kilometers (km) based on WLTP standards.

Further, the vehicle is packed with safety features such as hill descent control, hill launch assist, terrain response system, 360-degree parking aid and surround camera, rear traffic monitor, cornering brake control, roll stability control, electronic traction control, among others.
