Advisory: DPWH to conduct road repairs in EDSA, other roads until Jul. 11

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct road repairs along EDSA, C-5 and other portions of Quezon City roads starting 11 p.m. tonight (July 8).

  • The department said in its advisory that road rehabilitation works will be implemented on the northbound lane of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) along Santolan MRT Station, bus lane; after P. Tuazon Flyover to Aurora Tunnel, third lane from center island (fast lane); after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, third lane from center island (intermittent section); and after Kamuning Road and Kamias Road to JAC Liner Bus Station, beside center island in Quezon City.

    Aside from that, similar repairs will be done along EDSA southbound lane, from Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge in Quezon City and from Bernardino Street to Estrella Street, innermost bus lane, in Makati City.

    Further, the innermost bus lane of EDSA Guadalupe southbound, from Bernardino Street to Estrella Street in Makati City will also undergo restoration.

    Moreover, other roads in Quezon City that will be mended include Batasan Road, from Sinagtala Street to IBP-San Mateo Road, 2nd lane from plant box; and Visayas Avenue, Road 10 Elliptical Road southbound, second lane from plant box and from Elliptical Road to Central Avenue northbound (near Congressional Avenue), second lane from sidewalk.

    Meanwhile, restoration activities will be undertaken on portions of C-5 covering the southbound second lane in Makati City, and along Pasig Boulevard southbound, near Chooks-to-Go Pineda and along Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, in front of Sitel Philippines in Pasig City.

    Motorists are advised to take alternate routes. The aforementioned locations will be reopened to traffic by 5 a.m. on Monday (July 11).
