Blade to bolster presence in mobility industry with latest outlet

Blade is looking to become a player in the mobility industry after it opened its newest store in Mindanao Avenue.

  • According to Blade Business Development Officer Miles Sy, the company is shifting its focus from being a major automotive accessory and parts retailer to becoming a dealer of components and provider of preventive maintenance services not only for cars but also for motorcycles and bicycles.

    “After this unveiling, we have shifted into a new market. We shifted and broadened our spectrum. We no longer are just a car accessory store, we are now into service and mobility,” Sy stated.

    Blade’s Mindanao Avenue facility’s first floor has a dedicated display area for some of its top-tier products while another area is assigned for the outlet’s service bays. According to Blade Sales and Marketing Manager Albert Go, customers visiting the service area can bring their own parts and fluids or select from the building’s wide selection of preventive maintenance items.

    Speaking of which, customers going to Blade’s one-stop branch will find “department store-like” shelves on the second floor. Products from known brands such as Bosch and others are readily available.

    Blade’s 50th store also has various stalls that can accommodate different businesses such as fast food restaurants as well as other auto, moto, and bike related trades.

    In addition to opening the doors of its 50th — and biggest — outlet to date, Blade also revealed its newest product category: Safety. Under it are two focus sub categories, dashboard cameras and helmets.

    The former, will boast automotive dashcams from various companies such as HP, Papago, DrivePro, DUB, and Transcend. As for the latter, Blade is offering its own line of motorcycle helmets called Hiro.

    Further, Blade’s Mindanao Avenue outlet holds products for pets, allowing fur parents to find the right tools and accessories to help traveling with their fur babies a lot more comfortable.

    “Everything (related to) mobility is here, Blade Auto Center Mindanao Avenue,” commented Blade President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Tan.
