According to BMW, the supply of cobalt and lithium required for the high-voltage batteries is procured by the BMW Group from controlled sources in Australia and Morocco and delivered to the battery cell manufacturers. The interior of the vehicle features FSC-certified wood, leather tanned with olive tree leaf extract, and other natural materials. Among other things, recycled fishing nets serve as raw materials for floor coverings and floor mats.

In addition, the design principle of the electric motors makes it possible to dispense with the use of rare-earth metals in the rotors of the drives. In addition, the company purchases aluminum, which is produced using electricity from solar energy plants. BMW also uses 100-percent green electricity in manufacturing the vehicles as well as for manufacturing battery cells.

BMW X series, on the other hand, is unique in its determination and the desire to stand out from the rest with sporty, rugged looks, and performance. That said, the iX M60 features a body structure that clearly evokes a sporty orientation.

Inside, the BMW iX M60 features an innovatively-designed interior with multifunctional seats with integrated headrests, a large BMW Curved Display, a hexagonal steering wheel, and an anthracite-colored roof liner.

It also comes with a suite of standard equipment including BMW Live Cockpit Professional and BMW Natural Interaction, as well as the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, BMW Laser Light, Comfort Access, Active Seat Ventilation.

Meanwhile, BMW M, the brand’s high-performance division endows the iX M60 with the typical M performance characteristics.

Power comes from an M-specific electric drive that brings the vehicle from standstill to 100kph in only 3.8 seconds. Other features include a highly-responsive actuator-based wheel slip limitation, actuator-based wheel slip limitation, and a suspension system with M-tuned dual-axle air technology.

Moreover, with the advanced technology of the BMW Group's new future modular system, this Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) offers improvements in the areas of automated driving, operation, connectivity, and digital services.

The BMW iX M60 is manufactured together with the other model variants of the all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) at the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing and will be launched in the global market this coming June.
