CAMPI-TMA Aug. YTD sales show less than 1% growth
MANILA: The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) have collectively sold 305,381 units in the first eight months of 2025.

Last month, CAMPI and TMA turned over 36,174 examples to customers.As shared by the two organizations, the aforementioned retail performance showed a 0.2-percent growth when compared to the 304,765 units sold in the same period last year.

The joint report from the groups also noted that last August alone, CAMPI and TMA turned over a total of 36,174 examples to customers — a 5.5-percent slide versus July 2025’s 8,295 examples handed over to clients and a 7.6 percent-dip from 39,155 vehicles turned over to buyers for the same month in 2024.

Retail performance per category
The push in retail performance still comes from the commercial vehicle segment. Cornering almost 80 percent market share, the said division was able to sell 244,023 examples around the country — enjoying an 8.7-percent increase.

Meanwhile, passenger car sales continue to drop — this time by 23.6 percent — after handing over 61,358 this 2025 compared to January-August 2025’s 80,327-units sales churn.

Further, CAMPI and TMA shared that out of their total sales volume, six percent came from new energy vehicles — with the biggest chunk delivered by the hybrid models.

CAMPI-TMA sales leaders as of August 2025
Still sitting at the top spot of the CAMPI-TMA sales leaders is Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) with 146,357 vehicles sold in January-August 2025. Such a performance reflected a 47.93-percent market share.
Next to TMP is Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation and its 57,908-vehicle sales output (18.96-percent market share).

Maintaining their third and fourth place rankings respectively are Nissan Philippines (after rolling out 15,160 vehicles to customers) and Ford Motor Company Philippines (14,940 units handed over to buyers).
Suzuki Philippines kept the fifth spot in the CAMPi-TMA sales rankings with 14,519 units sold (4.75 percent market share).
