The Deepal S05 BEV retails at P1.588 million.As of its brand launch, the Chinese marque’s local arm offers the S05 battery electric vehicle (BEV) and range extended electric vehicle (REEV) crossovers, as well as the G318 REEV off-road-capable sport utility vehicle (SUV).

At the moment, Deepal Philippines has not published or revealed the full specs and features list of its initial offerings. However, the S05 REEV’s single motor and 1.5-liter gasoline engine is said to be able to dish out up to 215 horsepower (hp) and 320 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
In China, the BEV version of the S05 can put out 235 hp. It also has a range of 510 km on a single full charge.
Interestingly, the Deepal S05 BEV and REEV are both rear-wheel-drive vehicles, which the brand touts as providing a more engaging drive.
Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelMeanwhile, the Deepal B318 REEV is a boxy and tough-looking SUV designed to take on harsh terrain. The PH-spec model’s output figures were not shared during the brand’s local launch, but the one in its home country has a maximum churn of 424 hp and 572 Nm of torque.
Unlike the single-motor S05 variants, the B318 REEV comes with a dual-motor layout. This is linked to a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four gasoline generator. The said model also boasts up to 620 millimeters of wading depth, a locking differential, and 16 terrain modes.
When it comes to creature comforts, the aforementioned Deepal models offer a Qualcomm-powered central touchscreen headunits, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, and access to the Deepal smartphone app - among others.
