DPWH, DAR turn over new bridges in Palawan
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has recently completed a total of five new bridges in Palawan to help promote rural development in agrarian reform communities.

Below are the following bridges that were built in the province:
- Four-lineal meter Minarra Bridge and 22.8-lineal meter Buayan Bridge in the town of Roxas;
- Eight-lineal meter Parasao Bridge in Aborlan;
- Eight-lineal meter Cagbanaba Bridge in El Nido;
- Eight-lineal meter Abucayan Bridge in the municipality of Safronio Española.
“These bridges will be able to further support the livelihood of our farmers in these identified agrarian reform areas, boosting productivity of our agricultural lands,” DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan was quoted as saying.
With a total cost of P60 million that came from DAR funding, the aforementioned project was implemented by the DPWH Unified Project Management Office Bridges Management Cluster, and the DPWH Palawan First, Second, and Third District Engineering Offices.
The inauguration and turn-over of bridges led by DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, DPWH UPMO-BMC Project Director Rodrigo delos Reyes, and other concerned local government officials.
