DPWH Opens Alaminos-Bani Bypass Road in Pangasinan
Road trips to Bolinao, Pangasinan and the Hundred Island National Park has now become faster with the opening of the four-lane Alaminos-Bani Bypass Road Project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
Constructed at a cost of P28.120 million, the 1.861-kilometer road project between the Pangasinan-Zambales Road and Alaminos-Bani Road will benefit travelers going to and from the west coast of the Pangasinan province.
According to DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel Tan, the road project was constructed to be above the maximum record flood level and that it is equipped with pavement markings, pedestrian sidewalk, and solar lightings.
With its opening, the Alaminos-Bani Bypass Road Project is expected to decongest traffic in Alaminos City, which serves as the gateway to tourism destinations in Bolinao and Dasol, including the Hundred Island National Park in Brgy. Lucap, Alaminos City. In addition, the bypass road should lessen travel time and ease the transport of goods, thereby generating savings on fuel and maintenance cost of vehicles that will use the route regularly.
