Ducati's Diavel Wins Another Red Dot Award

The Red Dot Design Awards is one of the most sought after seals of quality for good design. Red Dot awards prizes for product design, brand and communication design, and design concepts. the competition is open to several fields including furniture, home appliances, vehicles, and tools. This week, the Ducati Diavel 1260 S brings home a Red Dot award: the Good Design Award. This is the second generation of the Diavel to win an award, as the first generation variant also won a Red Dot award last year, the Red Dot Award 2019: Best of the Best. The award winning Diavel 1260 combines maxi-naked performance with muscle cruiser ergonomics. The second-generation Diavel 1260 S remains true to its roots, drawing its key styling elements from from its older brother, yet giving it a more modern twist. This handsome bike packs a punch, sporting a 1262cc engine that is capable of putting out 159 hp and 129 Nm of torque. This engine is mated with a 6 speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter. If you are someone on the shorter side, the 30. Inch seat height will prove to be easy to straddle. The Diavel 1260 S comes with three driving modes: Sport, Touring, and Urban. These modes adjust various setting like the Anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control. For the daredevil, the Diavel 1260 S also comes with launch control, although it’s probably only appropriate for the dragstrip. The Diavel 1260 S is also equipped with a fully digital gauge screen that shows the time, the current mode and gear you’re in, and the usual stuff like speed and ODO. For 2020, The Ducati Diavel 1260 S is available in two new color schemes, namely Dark Stealth (a total black look, available for the standard version) and an all-new Ducati Red with white trims and red seat tail (on the S version) giving the bike a much sportier look, all without sacrificing the style that won this bike its awards.   The Ducati Diavel 1260 S starts at about $22,995 (Php 1.160 million).
