First Impression: 2020 Mazda2 Elite

Mazda Philippines has released the latest-generation Mazda2, now designed with added oomph and redefined comfort. A facelifted version of the 2019 daily drive version, the 2020 Mazda2 Elite, available in sedan and hatchback variants, is set to give the shake down the competition in its category. Engine Both 2020 Mazda2 offerings, is fitted with the same 1.5L Inline 4 DOHC SkyActiv G engine mated to a six-speed transmission SkyActiv Drive. The said engine is capable of delivering 108 horsepower and 141 Nm torque, a tad higher from its predecessor that dishes out 106 hp and 139 Nm. The offering also has  G-Vectoring Control Plus, giving the Mazda driving experience highly-appreciated. Aesthetics For its exterior, the 2020 Mazda2 Elite sports a bigger and wider bumper and grille design, complementing the LED headlights, ll, which emanates the Evolved Kodo: Soul of Motion Design theme. The 2020 Mazda2 Elite sits on new 16-inch wheel design, making it more fluid with more design. On the inside, the 2020 Mazda 2 Elite has been fitted with new brown/black fabric seats, sporting a new seat structure. Comfort The Mazda2 also has an improved ride, thanks to its McPherson Strut and Torsion Beam Axle for its front and rear suspension, respectively. It also has a better NVH, with better deadening from the outside noise to better enjoy music and conversations. And speaking of music, the 2020 Mazda2 Elite now has seven-inch MZD Connect with USB, Bluetooth and Smartphone Mirror (Android Auto and Apple Carplay) with six speakers. Also, the 2020 Mazda 2 Elite ditched the CD slot, because, not many uses Audio CDs in their car. Other Features The 2020 Mazda Elite has a myriad of features already existing in the recent past generation. This includes dual airbags, ABD-EBD, dynamic stability control, rear parking sensors and rearview camera and smart keyless entry and push start button. The price for the 2020 Mazda Elite is at Php 995,000 for both the 1.5 AT Sedan Elite and 1.5 AT Hatchback Elite.
