Grab PH, Move It partners with AXA, Philinsure to provide free insurance policies

MANILA: Grab Philippines and Move It have teamed up with AXA Philippines and PhilPacific Insurance Brokers and Managers Incorporated (Philinsure) to offer free life insurance policies to its top-performing partners. 

Per the ride-hailing and  delivery companies, the said move elevates their dedication to partner welfare and builds upon the existing insurance coverage they provide their drivers and riders. 

“We believe that the hardworking individuals who move our cities and communities forward every day deserve more than just livelihood — they deserve security, protection, and peace of mind. Through this partnership, we are strengthening the gig economy by ensuring that our driver-partners receive fair recognition for their contributions while also having access to protections that help them navigate life’s uncertainties,” Grab Philippines Country Head Ronald Roda said in a press release. 

“This partnership is a strong testament to Grab and Move It’s unwavering commitment to driver welfare. More importantly, it reinforces that platform work can be both flexible and secure. By collaborating with industry leaders like AXA, we are creating solutions that balance work flexibility with essential protections for our driver-partners in the Philippines. We are not just supporting livelihoods — we are helping build a more sustainable and secure future for them,” he added. 

Life insurance for top performers 

Grab Philippines and Move It’s collaboration with AXA Philippines and Philinsure allows top-performing driver-, delivery-, and rider-partners to get a free insurance policy valued up to P1 million. 

Per the passenger car and motorcycle taxi service companies, the said insurance encompass “crucial aspects of social protection,” which include the following: 

• Life insurance
• Accidental insurance 
• Disability coverage
• Terminal illness 

“At AXA Philippines, we believe that financial protection should be accessible to everyone, most especially the hardworking Grab and Move It driver-partners who keep our cities moving. Through this partnership, we are not just offering insurance — we are empowering individuals with security, stability, and the confidence to build a better future for themselves and their families. The said initiative — Grab Philippines and Move It pointed out — is a key component of its comprehensive Ka-Grab Rewards and Ka-Move It Rewards incentive programs. 

According to Grab Philippines, it is the first on-demand service platform in the country to provide free life insurance for its partners, which has been around since 2016.
