Grab PH's Deactivation of 8K TNVS Units to Push Through Today

The deactivation of 8,000 transport network vehicle service (TNVS) units with Grab Philippines will push through today, Monday, June 10.

This was the statement issued by Grab over the weekend.

Atty. Jenicka Hosaka, Grab Philippines Public Affairs Manager, said that the company will abide by the directives of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

However, despite the deactivation, Hosaka is urging the affected TNVS units to apply again as the transport regulatory agency will be opening 10,000 more slots.

"We encourage all TNVS that will be affected to apply anew, as 10,000 new TNVS slots will be opened. Grab is also open to assist them if they want to explore other options in the platform," Hosaka said.

She also said that the company will also provide assistance in the assessment of documents of TNVS applicants--whether deactivated or new ones.

The Grab TNVS Assistance Program in Matrix Creation Events Venue at 11 Malakas Street in Diliman, Quezon City will be open from 8 AM until 5 PM on June 10-13 and from 8 AM until 2 PM on June 14.

"This is the least we can do to help our TNVS partners and make sure we get more drivers to serve our riders," added Hosaka.
