Grab to Suspend Ride-Sharing in MM, Metro Cebu Starting Tomorrow Noon
Ride hailing app Grab is set to temporarily stop their ride-sharing service, Grabshare.
The indefinite suspension of the Grabshare service is in accordance to the social distancing prescribed by the Philippine health officials with regards to the public health situation on COVID-19.
"To aid in the social distancing prescribed by the Philippine health officials with regards to the public health situation on COVID-19, Grab will be suspending its GrabShare services in Metro Manila and Cebu starting March 13, 12NN, and will resume as soon as the public health situation de-escalates," Grab noted in its statement.
From GrabPH's Facebook page"Other Grab transport services will remain to be available to serve our commuting public. We would like to remind everyone to plan their trips prudently and take personal hygiene seriously. Thank you," it added.
Relatedly, Grab Philippines chief Brian Cu was tested for COVID-19.
However, Cu's tests yielded negative for the the said virus.
This after Cu was directly exposed to their colleague from Singapore who was found positive of the said disease.
