Gulf Oil Introduces New Engine Lubricants for PH Market

American brand Gulf Oil has recently brought to the Philippine shores its latest offerings of engine oils designed specifically to cater to passenger car and sports utility vehicles with Gulf Oil Philippines' launch of the Gulf Formula ULE 5W-40 (SUV Special) and Ultrasynth X 5W-30 synthetic engine oils.

The Gulf Formula ULE 5W-40 (SUV Special) is "recommended for modern common-rail diesel engines” and is “specifically formulated for SUVs," while the Ultrasynth X 5W-30 is an "advanced synthetic passenger motor oil" which is recommended for US, Japanese, and Korean vehicles."

Gulf Oil ULE 5W-40 is said to be formulated with Power Max molecules and protects engines from wear and sludge for a longer duration, thereby maintaining performance at peak all the time. The Power Max molecules are tailored for faster cooling, protection and friction reduction. During the press conference, Dr. Milind Vaidya, vice president (technology) for Gulf Oil International, said that the product has been introduced in most Asian and European countries recently.

On the other hand, the Gulf Ultrasynth X 5W-30, Vaidya said, was made for modern-generation cars to ensure smooth drive and peace of mind. The motor oil for cars was developed with engine detoxifiers.

Gulf Oil Philippines, which has been in the business for around a decade and a half, is a joint venture between the international brand and the Philippine National Oil Company.

According to Gulf Oil Philippines General Manager Arvind Dargan, the company vows for aggressive ground activations and create higher awareness for its high performance motor oils "among highly-demanding SUV owners."
