HCPI takes multiple awards at latest AFPMC

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) received numerous accolades in the recently-concluded 2022-2023 Auto Focus People’s and Media’s Choice Awards (AFPMCA).

HCPI noted that the honors from the annual award-giving ceremony organized by Sunshine Television and Marketing Services, Inc. (STV) are for Best Design, Best Engine Performance, and Best Safety Features.

The models that helped the company garner the awards are the Honda Brio, City Hatchback, Civic, Accord, and the all-new HR-V. HCPI said that the citations given last December 15 signify the brand’s “innovative design and dynamic driving performance that also delivers outstanding fuel efficiency.”

The Japanese automaker’s local distributor said that the awards received through the years affirm the brand’s “commitment to a collision-free society, represented by the global safety slogan ‘Safety for Everyone’.”

Both the Honda Brio and Civic snatched three awards (Best Design, Best Engine Performance, and Best Safety Features) in the Standard Mini Hatchback and Standard Compact Sedan category, respectively.

On the other hand, the Honda City Hatchback and all-new HR-V (the latter launched last April) took the Best Safety Features award in the Standard Subcompact Hatchback and the Standard Subcompact Sport Utility Vehicle/Crossover segments, respectively.

Lastly, the Honda Accord once again took the Best Engine Performance award in the Standard Midsize Sedan segment.

These awards give us more inspiration in our efforts to realize “Safety for Everyone” while also providing the joy and freedom of mobility through our products and services,” HCPI President Masahiko Nakamura was quoted as saying.

To note, the AFPMCA is currently in its 18th year. The Media’s Choice Awards aims to further recognize the automotive industry's efforts by providing car buyers and owners information that would help them in their vehicle purchase decision. Select motoring media determine awardees in four categories: Best Design, Best Engine Performance, Best Safety Features, and Best Value for Money.
