Hyundai Palisade Interior Design Features Awarded Wards' '10 Best User Experiences' Trophy

Hyundai Palisade
Hyundai Philippines' biggest and boldest SUV to date--the 2020 Hyundai Palisade--was counted among Wards' 10 Best User Experiences at the annual WardsAuto User Experiences Conference held recently in Michigan in the United States. Hyundai's first full-sized SUV was launched in the Philippine market at the 2019 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) early this year. The Wards' 10 Best User Experiences competition is a microcosm of Wards 10 Best Interiors and was developed to identify driver interfaces that are user-friendly, navigation systems that are easy to program, collision-avoidance technologies that are dependable, and smartphone integration that is simple, allowing drivers safe access to text messages, emails, and phone contacts while on the road. In July and August, the Wards editors evaluated and scored 23 vehicles available in the US that boast all-new or re-engineered UX features, such as display screens, interfaces or applications. The Palisade made it to the competitive 2019 Wards roster for its user-oriented interior design and engineering innovation that not only redefines convenience features but also revamps the concept of spatial design for family cars.

In contrast to its exterior, the horizontally-expansive interior exudes luxury and safety. Add to this the intuitive design that achieves and overall relaxed and comfy vibe. The Wards team evaluated the user-friendliness of the Palisade's driver-assist technologies, access to information, and entertainment options that put a check on driver distraction. The well-equipped Palisade was acknowledged for its host of convenient technology features, including a 10-inch audio display, 12-inch TFT cluster, wireless charging, seven USB outlets, front ventilated seats, and innovative roof-based diffuser vents--all making it easy for driver and passengers to interact with the vehicle. The Wards team also noted that the infotainment screen, instrument panel and head-up display were well designed. The user-friendly controls can be understood at a glance, while the home screen 'widgets' on the 10.25-inch in-dash infotainment screen allows the driver to select and arrange them according to one’s preference. "The new Hyundai Palisade stands out as a value leader in the three-row utility segment with smartly-designed, user-friendly displays and controls up front and tons of family-friendly connectivity features and creature comforts in back," said Drew Winter, Wards senior content director. "A long list of available driver-assist features, charging outlets in all three rows of seats and innovative technology such as an intercom system that enables the driver to speak with third-row passengers, means the Palisade is ready anytime to take a family on a long trip." "This is another proud moment for all distributorships," says Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo. "This recent award affirms that the Hyundai Palisade is one of the best, if not the best in its class. This is definitely a vehicle the on-the-go executive deserves and its first-in-kind safety features ensure great road trips and memories with your family." According to SangYup Lee, senior vice president and head of Hyundai Global Design Center, "The Palisade not only accentuates the luxurious aspect of a large-size SUV, but is a vehicle that was designed in the true perspective of the customer through careful consideration of what more values can be provided. We implemented a design for the Palisade that offers a home-like ‘spatial experience’ where various innovative and smart technologies can be enjoyed.| Check out more of the Hyundai Palisade’s innovative family-friendly features:
