Isuzu Davao

In its continuous thrust towards strengthening brand image, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has officially inaugurated its “bigger and better” Davao dealership.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Where is the new Isuzu Davao located?

The updated Isuzu Davao is put on the same 10,000 square-meter lot at 122 MacArthur Highway, in Matina, Davao where the old one was established.
  • Who manages Isuzu Davao?

The Isuzu Davao facility is managed by Southern Motors of Davao, Inc. under the helm of Jockson Liu.
  • The Japanese marque’s local arm said that the sales facility boasts updated facilities that is aimed to provide customers quality service in the area.

According to IPC, the new establishment is under the management of Southern Motors of Davao, Inc. (SMDI), who has been in the industry for more than 70 years in the city.

    Isuzu Davao Ribbon Cutting

The grand opening of the Isuzu Davao dealership was well-attended, with former Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, Senator Bong Go, Davao City Vice Mayor Melchor Quitain Jr., IPC President Noboru Murakami and Isuzu Davao President Jockson Liu cutting the ribbon to mark the official opening of the improved establishment.

The newest structure (which is erected on the same 10,000 square-meter lot at 122 MacArthur Highway, in Matina, Davao) replaced the old red fascia with the new Anthracite Gray metal mesh design and adopted the Isuzu Outlet Standard (IOS) corporate design philosophy.

The company explained that the dealership design is in line with the brand’s reputation of providing durable and reliable products. “Inside, the sleek and minimalist interior design of the dealership gives off a cleaner and more spacious area for an enhanced customer journey and smoother business flow. Each element of the IOS design is carefully laid based on the customer's standpoint and dealer’s productivity,” IPC explained.

For his part, IPC President Noboru Murakami expressed firm belief that the new Isuzu Davao will reach new heights and achieve great success.

“With the booming economy of Davao City, it is suitable that we elevate their experience with this new IOS dealership, which not only provides a more conducive atmosphere, but operational efficiency from sales to aftersales, so that ultimately, we can achieve ‘Customer Success’,” he said.

Aside from the design upgrade, the Isuzu Davao dealership’s floor area grew to 5,100 square meters, giving more space for the showroom and service area. Per IPC, the showroom can accommodate three light-commercial vehicle units and one truck while the service center has the capability to service six bays for trucks and 30 light commercial vehicles.

Isuzu Davao also increased its Body Repair and Paint (BRP) bays to 10 and has expanded its stockyard by acquiring an additional 4,000-square meter area to ensure that units will be readily available to clients.

For his part, Jockson expressed gratitude for the opportunity and trust bestowed on him to rebuild SMDI — a family business for 73 years — to face the new and more progressive business environment in Davao.

Isuzu Davao ensures long-term sustainability of their business with the renovation of their building and the integration of the new Dealer Management Systems in their operations.

Duterte, who has been one of SMDI’s loyal customers, expressed his trust to the Isuzu brand for providing the most durable vehicles and his appreciation to Isuzu Davao for being the oldest dealership in the area.

As part of the “Road to 50” dealership program that aims to increase the number of Isuzu outlets nationwide, IPC is also improving the current facilities of existing dealerships in order to provide world-class customer experience from all Isuzu dealerships.
