2022 Mazda models with M- Hybrid powertrains

As part of its 2022 Premium CollectionMazda Philippines has equipped mild-hybrid powertrains for the coming year models of the CX-30 and the Mazda3.

Called as the e-Skyactiv-G M Hybrid, the configuration — composed of DC/DC converter, an integrated starter generator (ISG), and regenerative friction brake coordination system and new 24-volt M Hybrid Lithium-Ion battery — will be powering the 2.0-liter powertrains both found in the aforementioned offerings.

The e-Skyactiv-G M Hybrid engine and battery system harvests energy with its regenerative braking technology to power the vehicle’s on-board electronics. Aside from that, a motor then assists the engine accelerate from standstill for a smoother drive.

“The use of this recovered energy, along with automatic engine shut-off at decelerating speeds below 20kph, lessens demand on the engine and increases vehicle mileage per tank of fuel. With the e-Skyactiv-G M Hybrid, Mazda customers not only realize a smoother drive, but also achieve phenomenal fuel savings and lower emissions without having to worry about plugging in or charging,” Mazda Philippines shared in a statement.
