at the recently-concluded 2019 Cebu Auto Show, then here’s your chance to see this stylish, class-leading, British-heritage subcompact sedan up close and in the metal: The
MG 5 makes its Metro Manila public debut at the
Glorietta 2 Activity Center from October 3 to 6, 2019, and will be flanked by other models in MG Philippines’ current lineup such as the
MG ZS crossover SUV,
MG RX5 SUV, and the
MG 6 fastback sedan.
The MG 5 enters a very competitive subcompact sedan segment, but it has what it takes to stay a cut above the rest.
Best-in-class length (4,601mm), width (1,788mm), and wheelbase (2,680mm) result in impressive legroom for both front and rear passengers, not to mention a more commanding stance on the road. It features a
fuel-efficient 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve naturally-aspirated engine that produces
112 hp and has a
best-in-class torque output of 150Nm, and is mated to either a
five-speed manual transmission or automatic CVT with manual mode.
The MG 5 also features
first-in-segment features such as a
user-friendly 10-inch touch screen infotainment head unit that can
run both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto;
360-degree vehicle view, which gives drivers a bird’s-eye view of the car, making it easier to negotiate tight parking spaces and obstructions in low speed traffic; a
power driver's seat for optimum comfort adjustment; and
auto on/off LED headlamps.
To celebrate the MG 5's Metro Manila launch, MG Philippines is mounting the latest leg of its
ongoing free concert series, MG Live! This latest edition of MG Live! powered by
Phoenix Pulse Technology will take place on
Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the
Glorietta 2 Activity Center, and will showcase a
full set from OPM hotshots IV of Spades.

from October 3 to 6, 2019 and
schedule a test drive with their MG model of choice (last call for test drives will be at
5 PM every day.)
