Michael Fassbender Attempts Professional Racing in ‘Road to Le Mans’ YouTube Series
Another Hollywood actor tries to put on his driving gloves to see if they fit. This time, it’s Michael Fassbender of "X-Men" fame who gets behind the wheel in the new YouTube series called ‘Road to Le Mans.’
The series, produced by Porsche, will see Fassbender train with the #93 Porsche 911 GT3 cup car that comes race-ready form the factory. Viewers of the series get to follow Fassbender on his journey from a novice pilot to a full-fledged Le Mans competitor.
YouTube recently dropped the trailer for the series, which you can watch below.
"I've just always felt drawn to going fast into a corner--and fast out--and just naturally felt connected to it," Fassbender says in the trailer. "And now I want to go to the ultimate place."
"I think it's the history of the place. I think it's the drivers that crashed there, or competed there, or won there. To be a part of that would be, you know, unbelievable," he adds.
As the trailer mentions, the series' premier episode can be viewed on YouTube starting October 11. Other pieces of information, such as run time, number of episodes, and showing intervals, have not been discussed.

Fassbender is not the only actor to try and enter Le Mans. Patrick Dempsey, the popular doctor from "Grey's Anatomy," actually saw success in the endurance race, even placing second in his class using the grittier 911 GT3 RSR.
