MMDA Announces Road Closure for People Power Celebration

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that it will close a road section on EDSA near the People Power Monument to give way to the 33rd anniversary of the People Power Revolution on February 25, Monday.

The announcement from the MMDA said that it will close the EDSA lane right in front of the People Power Monument from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM that day. Number coding will be lifted for the entire day.

The MMDA doesn't expect the road closure and number coding scheme suspension to affect traffic that much as the closure is limited to the morning hours and the day is a national holiday.

On Saturday, February 23, the government agency closed the EDSA-bound direction of White Plains Avenue from 12:01 AM to 8:00 PM, also for the People Power celebration.
