Subaru reveals Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 lineup

Subaru Corporation and its motorsports division, Subaru Tecnica International (STI), announced that it will be in attendance at the upcoming 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon scheduled for January 14 to 16, 2022, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

At the company’s booth, STI will showcase the STI E-RA concept, a model for the future of STI as it enters a carbon-neutral era. The STI E-RA concept will make its world debut in the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon and signals the return of the “RA” suffix, which is said to stand for “Record Attempt.”

The STI E-RA will stand on display alongside two other concept cars: the WRX S4 STI performance concept and the Levorg STI performance concept. Both concept cars come with customized STI performance parts such as cherry-red under spoilers, carbon rear spoilers, and performance mufflers.

Also making their appearances will be the custom model Subaru BRZ STI performance and the Subaru BRZ GT300 2021 race car. The former is based on the Subaru BRZ S grade and is equipped with STI performance parts. The latter is the actual race car that won the 2021 series championship in the GT300 class.
