The 306-HP MINI Coopers Are Here

Mini John Cooper Works
If you think MINI cars are boring, slow little vehicles, think again. The most powerful road-legal MINI Coopers just arrived in the Philippines, and here’s what we know so far. Autohub Group of Companies, under Willy Tee Ten, is the official distributor of MINI locally. The MINI John Cooper Works is the performance line of the brand. Featuring tuned engines and exclusive styling, this top of the line collection is MINI’s best of the best. The two newest additions to this lineup are the MIN John Cooper Works Clubman and the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman, both of which have just been made available here in the Philippines. MIni John Cooper Works Countryman Mini John Cooper Works Clubman The exteriors of both models are characterized by the signature bonnet stripes with Chili Red accent, an air scoop in the bonnet, an aggressive, track style grille with the JCW emblem, and lower air intakes. The roof and mirror caps are also offered in the exclusive Chili Red color option. The Clubman is fitted with rounded LED headlights while the Countryman features a more angular headlight shape. Both variants come standard with five spoke 19 inch John Cooper Works light alloy wheels. MINI John Cooper Works Interior   The inside of the two models are definitely sportier than your standard MINI. Both models come standard with a three spoke leather JCW steering wheel made from perforated leather and finished with Chili Red stitching. There are also JCW sport bucket seats with red accents and a heads up display so you won’t have to take your eyes off the road. Other features include a 12 speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and an 8.8 inch touch screen that features Apple CarPlay.   Mini JWC Clubman Along with the performance and cosmetic updates, MINI also gave the JCW version with standard safety tech features such as Park Distance Control system, a reverse camera, and Parking Assist. The brakes have also been enhanced to better accompany the powerful engines. Mini JWC Countryman Both cars are fitted with a 2.0 liter engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. This engine makes and astounding 306 hp and 450 Nm of torque. If you think 306 hp is not enough, think of it this way: the 2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Fastback makes about 310 horses. The 2019 Chevy Camaro makes about 275 hp, while the 2019 Dodge Challenger SXT produces 305 hp. This amount of power pushes the Clubman to go from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, and takes about 5.1 seconds for the Countryman. Both vehicles have a top speed of 250 km/h. Pricing for the MINI John Cooper Works Clubman starts at about Php 4.65 million, while the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman is priced at Php 4.75 million.
