Dodge Charger

For its price, the cabin design of the Dodge Charger is surprisingly dull. Don’t get me wrong, its interior has that sporty vibe that you look for inside a muscle car, but it also feels a bit outdated. But, when it comes to functionality and comfort, this car certainly delivers in those departments. 

Inside, you get well-padded Nappa/Alcantara performance seats that provide supportive cushioning and good ergonomics. These seats showcase the Scat Pack logo for a premium sporty feel. The driver and front passenger’s seats have ventilation and heating functions. At the front, this car also comes with a premium-stitched dash panel that is good-to-the-touch. 

Drivers have access to a heated performance steering wheel with audio and shift controls, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and a custom-defined color display monitor. Meanwhile, all passengers can enjoy an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment display that offers Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, GPS Navigation, and a Uconnect 4 NAV system. The infotainment display is linked to a 19-speaker Harman Kardon GreenEdge sound system, providing premium acoustics all around. The Dodge Charger is also equipped with an air conditioning system with dual zone control for greater comfort. 

The Dodge Charger showcases a dominant muscular look that is certainly a head-turner on the road. It has a body color fascia that is enhanced by a performance grille that flexes the Scat Pack badge. It sports bi-function halogen projector headlamps and LED DRLs, both of which give it an assertive gaze at night. For a more premium sporty facade, it is given black headlamp bezels and a functional hood scoop. On the sides, it has sleek character lines and widebody fender flares that increase its massive silhouette. 

Trailing behind this muscle car, you will notice its dual rear exhaust with bright tips as well as its black 1-piece performance spoiler. It also flaunts a Scat Pack Bee badge on its decklid. The Dodge Charger runs on 20-inch carbon black lightweight wheels and R20 performance tires. It measures 5,100 mm in length, 1,989 mm in width, and 1,468 mm in height. 

The Dodge Charger utilizes the brand’s “Widebody Competition Suspension.” This car has a responsive steering and decent absorption of bumps thanks to this suspension system. One downside of this suspension, however, is its limited maneuverability, especially on tight spaces and curved roads. This car is fun and comfortable to drive on the highway, but not so much on busy urban roads with traffic.

The Dodge Charger is powered by a 6.4L, V8 HEMI MDS engine that produces a maximum power output of 485 hp and a maximum torque of 644 Nm. It runs on 8-speed automatic transmission.

This muscle car runs well on free-flowing highways since its engine has good power delivery. If you enjoy hearing a sports car’s rev, then this car will truly excite you with its eargasmic roar. It sounds really powerful, especially at high speeds. This would definitely be a fun weekend family car. However, being a performance-oriented muscle car, it has a thirst for fuel. Hence, it is not that practical to use as a daily driver.  

The Dodge Charger boasts a class-leading safety rating within its class. It is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features such as advanced multistage front air bags, all speed traction control, blind spot and cross path detection, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist, knock back mitigation, launch assist, line lock launch control, the brand’s ParkSense Rear Park Assist system and rear back-up camera, as well as speed sensitive power locks among others. It utilizes 6 Piston Brembo front brakes with an assistance feature and a 3-mode electronic stability control.

When a muscle car is the topic of the conversation, the Dodge Charger is one of the safest and most spacious choices out there. That said, if you are interested in converting a performance sedan into a family vehicle, then the Charger is really worth a shot.
