11th PH EV Summit: Dongfeng expands Rich6 EV lineup

Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation (DAGEV) has widened the Dongfeng Rich6 lineup by introducing an option that has a longer range.

  • Dubbed the Dongfeng Rich6 450, the latest addition to the Dongfeng lineup — offered as the electrified pick-up truck’s crème-dela-crème version — was revealed at the ongoing 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.

    The Wuhan-headquartered brand’s electrified pick-up truck is fitted with a lithium iron phosphate battery that allows the vehicle to cover as much as 450 kilometers (based on New European Driving Cycle standards). Assisting the vehicle to juice even while on the road is its regenerative braking system.

    Charging the new offering from 0-100 percent can be done as fast as three hours using a DC charger or up to 12 hours using the AC type. It comes with a GB/T charging port. In addition, Dongfeng Rich6 450 can also serve as a power bank, thanks to its vehicle-to-load system.

    Powering the Dongfeng Rich6 450 is an electric motor that can dish out up to 175 horsepower (hp) and 435 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Stopping power, on the other hand, comes from ventilated disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system and electronic brakeforce distribution. Providing grip on the road are the 255/60R18 wheels.

    Based on the Nissan Navara pick-up truck, the Dongfeng Rich6 450 is 5,290 millimeters (mm) long, 1,850 mm wide, and 1,820 mm tall with a 3,150 mm wheelbase. Its payload capacity is 1,070 kilograms.

    The cabin is fitted with leather seats, a digital cluster gauge, and a 10-inch infotainment system.

    Moreover, the Dongfeng Rich6 450 has a suite of technologies such as the traction control system, vehicle dynamic control, hydraulic brake assist, and hill hold control.

    Its sticker price is at P2.86 million.

    Aside from the Dongfeng Rich6 450, DAGEV also displayed the EV35 cab and chassis that has the capability to provide 134 hp, 230 Nm of pulling power and a 280 km driving range as well as the EV45 with aluminum box that can run 350 kms, and dish out 161 hp and 320 Nm. The vehicles are priced at P2.475 million and P3.54 million, respectively.

    Further, the company is also offering test drives for the Rich6 350, EC36 8-seater passenger van, EC31 cab and chassis and EV30 panel van.
