Dongfeng Motors PH teases NEV lineup

Dongfeng Motors Philippines has teased its upcoming new-energy vehicle (NEV) lineup.

In a Facebook post, the local arm of the Chinese automotive brand welcomes Filipino motorists to a “greener, more sustainable future!”

“Introducing electric vehicles, the way forward in transportation,” it added.

Further, Dongfeng Motor Philippines invites local car buyers to “discover the joy of emission-free driving and make a positive impact on the environment.”

To note, several Dongfeng electric models are now in use in the country.

In December of 2021, Dongfeng Motor Philippines supplied Meralco’s eSakay with the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV and EM26 Cargo Van EV.

Likewise, operators of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway use a Dongfeng Rich 6 EV as part of its electric fleet.

On that note, it is highly possible that both its electric pickup truck and electric van will be included in the said lineup.

Additionally, the vehicle used by Dongfeng Motor Philippines in its Facebook posts appears to be a crossover or a sport utility vehicle. That said, we might expect the company to introduce a model in that category.

As for the official reveal, Dongfeng Motor Philippines confirmed that it will unbox its electric offerings on October 16 based on a Facebook reel uploaded by the brand.
