2020 Ford Mustang Will Have Budget-Friendly, Entry-Level Performance Variant

Ford Mustangs are known to be ultra-fast and highly elegant performance cars, and all that muscle comes at a hefty price that’s out of reach for most people. If you've been itching to finally own this American pony, your wallet doesn't have to get in the way anymore, because the 2020 Mustang has a more affordable ‘entry-level’ performance variant for you.

Aside from announcing the new trim, the Blue Oval hasn't provided much details regarding the car, but FordAuthority.com speculates that it could be a version of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine, but with a higher output.

"The rumored, new 2020 Mustang model would slot between the base Mustang EcoBoost and the Mustang GT--and charge a few thousand more for the added power and performance," the website says.

"Currently, a 2019 Ford Mustang EcoBoost starts at USD26,395 (over PHP1.377 million) while a barebones Mustang GT starts at USD35,355 (over PHP1.844 million). So there's a lot of room to price an 'entry-level' performance Mustang," the website adds.
