The 7th Tour de Cebu will kick off on September 29, 2022 and will see a host of vintage cars covering 1,000 kilometers (km) across the breathtaking landscape of Visayas.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How can one get into Tour de Cebu?

Those interested to get into Tour de Cebu should contact the event organizers as the rally is an invitational event.
  • What awards await rally winners?

Winners of the tropical rally will get the chance to win various awards from the Roberto Aboitiz Class Award to the vintage watch courtesy of one of the event’s sponsors.

Per the organizers of the event, the program will start in Cebu.  A mini-leg will be staged taking the participants to the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) before they make their way to Bohol.

The Province of Bohol, where the rally will do most of its runs, not only offers a scenic backdrop for the rolling car museum but also allows participants to have a place where they can work on their cars and be with their families after a day of driving.

The 7th Tour de Cebu will cap on October 3, with the participants set to make their way back to the Queen City of the South.

Organizers revealed that winners will be named after the rally. Several classes are arranged for the participants with the most prestigious award — named after Tour de Cebu participant and honorary base member, Roberto Aboitiz — given to the event’s most distinguished car. Other class awards include the Performance and Classic Enthusiasts (PACE) Chairman’s Award.

Members of PACE Club of Cebu and as well as the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) are major participants of the 7th Tour de Cebu.

Furthermore, Tour de Cebu Champions will have their names engraved in the “Perpetual Chairman’s Cup.” The actual trophy, brought out during the rally for everyone to see, is not for winners to take home.

The rally’s overall winner will befittingly receive a vintage watch, courtesy of one of Tour de Cebu’s sponsors.

Those looking to get into Tour de Cebu will have to contact the people behind it as the rally is an invitational event. They will first have to check the entry vehicle and then have the actual participant vetted.
