All-new 453hp BMW M2 to be released in 2 variants in US
BMW confirmed that the all-new M2 high-performance sports car will be released in two variants in the United States — both enjoying a 453-horsepower (hp) engine.

According to BMW, the all-new M2 will make its global launch in April 2023.Per the German automotive brand, the two variants of the upcoming M2 are the two-seater M2 6MT and the four-seater M2 8AT. As show in their names, the former will be fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox while the latter will be equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The two will have the same mill under the hood: the M TwinPower Turbo, inline, six-cylinder powerplant.
The new M2 fitted with the six-speed manual can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 4.2 seconds, while the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission trims that time to 4.0 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 249.44kph, or 284.85kph if the optional M Driver’s Package is specified.
Standard equipment offered by the all-new BMW M2 includes 19-inch/20-inch M Light Alloy Jet Black Double-Spoke 930M wheels with mixed tires, Vernasca Leather upholstery, heated M Sport seats, BMW Curved Display with iDrive 8 and BMW Maps, and an illuminated M Trim.
The all-new BMW M2 will be built at the company’s San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico and is expected to make its global launch in April next year. Pricing starts at US$62,200 (P3.668 million).
