Baguio-Bound Buses Using PITX Increase to 33: DOTr

More buses going to Baguio City are now available for commuters at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Wednesday, August 21.

In a message sent to the media, DOTr Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark Richmund de Leon said there are now 33 Baguio-bound buses using the terminal located in the southwestern part of Metro Manila.

De Leon said the PITX started serving passengers going to Baguio City on July 13 this year.

He said the point-to-point buses, owned by Pangasinan Solid North Transit Inc. (Solid North), have free Wifi, charging port, reclining chair, free water, in-bus entertainment system and comfort room.

Solid North charges PHP500 per one-way ticket from PITX to Baguio City and vice versa.

The first bus leaves the integrated terminal at 2 AM followed by another bus after an hour until 11 PM daily.

The PITX is a land port terminal built and operated by Megawide Construction Corp. and the DOTr through a Public-Private Partnership program which has served at least seven million passengers from November 2018 to June 2019, according to the DOTr.

The land port is also one of the key hubs in Metro Manila which the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) designated as the endpoint for provincial buses.
