MANILA: Denza Philippines has launched two new off-road-ready sport utility vehicles (SUV) in the form of the B5 and ar.
The two nameplates are positioned to expand the carmaker’s reach in the upmarket segment with vehicles that offer a means for its customers to go further, off the beaten path.

Touted as an SUV for those who plan to go into the thick of it, the Denza B5 is the smaller — more rugged — of the two models. Hence, it offers a more maneuverable automobile that can squeeze through the narrow paths that lead to scenic camping spots.

Notably, the Denza B5 wears a boxy exterior with angular side mirrors and a straightforward fascia with a horizontal grille and mesh-line inlay. The lower front bumper is also stocky with a skid plate-like appointment at the fore.
To its sides are large wheel arches that offer the wheels good clearance, body-colored door handles, decent-sized running boards, a set of roof rails, and 18-inch wheels wrapped in 265/65 Continental CrossContact tires.

Inside, the Denza B5 packs seats with genuine leather upholstery, a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, ambient lighting, a car refrigerator, and a negative-ion air purifier.

Power comes from a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM).

At the front is a more striking headlamp with a more refined grille. Nevertheless, it also boasts a rugged lower front bumper.
Onto its sides are boxy side mirrors, soft-close doors with flush handles, big wheel arches with amber-colored reflector accents, claddings on the lower doors, and blacked-out boxy pillars.

At the back, the Denza B8 gets side-opening doors with a door-mounted spare tire with cover, boxy taillamps, and a robust rear bumper that looks like it can handle a beating.
The cabin is fitted with seats upholstered in Nappa leather, and occupants can enjoy features like an automatic climate control system with three temperature zones, a negative-ion air purifier, a car refrigerator that can double as a warmer, a digital rearview mirror, and captain’s seats for those sitting in the second row.

Power is supplied by a 2.0-liter internal combustion engine and two PMSM. They make 603 hp and 760 Nm of torque.
