Ford Bronco, Mustang now available in e-bike forms

Ford unveiled officially-licensed electric bicycle (e-bike) models inspired from the Bronco and Mustang models.

    "We know the passion and thrill that gets unlocked when people get behind the wheel of a Bronco and Mustang,” Ford global brand licensing manager Tyler Hill said. “These new eBikes will allow more people to experience the adventurous spirit of a Bronco and the exhilaration of a Mustang from the moment they grip the handlebars,” he added.

    Here are some details about the newly-revealed two-wheelers.

    The Ford Bronco eBike is outfitted with a motorcycle-style seat and dual suspension system inspired from its SUV counterpart’s G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) mode. It also comes with Pirelli Scorpion Enduro M hardwall 27.5" x 2.6" tires and running lights for improved visibility.

    Offered in 11 color options, the Ford Bronco eBike’s pricing starts at $4,500 (around P260,000).

    On the other hand, the Ford Mustang eBike is retailed in two options — one of which is the 60th Anniversary Edition. Per the Dearborn-headquartered firm, the offering features the sports car’s performance-driven design and technology.

    Enhancing safety and rider confidence are the bicycle’s Pirelli Angel GT semi-slick tires.

    Ford said that the Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition shall be sold in limited-edition fashion.

    Also available in 11 hue selections, the Mustang eBike’s price starts at $4,000 (approximately P231,000).

    The Ford Bronco and Mustang eBike models are all powered by a 750-watt hub-mounted electric motor that can deliver 85 Newton-meters. Its maximum assist speed from the power unit can reach up to 45 kilometer per hour and offers nearly 97 kilometers of range in approximately 3.5 hours of charge time.

    Its stopping power comes from the four-piston hydraulic brakes.

    Additionally, the two products are also equipped with a full-color digital cluster that displays real-time information like speed, battery life, and range.

    Reservations for the Ford Bronco and Mustang eBikes have already started and deliveries are expected to commence later within the year.
